So, I am finally back and I have updated my BLOG. I hope that you take a moment to read about my trip to Africa and take a quick look at my pictures. I had a great experience and I hope that what I learned stays with me for the rest of my life. Well, I’m off to Nashville next week to record with the great Ethan Luck. Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already 2006. This year is gonna be great! Kick it off with me at Detroit Bar on January 19th when I play with The Like. It’s an Indie 103.1 Radio Show. Guaranteed to be a great time. Hunter from AFI will be joining my band this time on guitar. In other news, I am leaving for Africa on January 27th for 10 days. I’ll be volunteering with an organization that works with street kids in Nairobi, Kenya. Please keep me in your thoughts while I’m away! Hope to see you soon…

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of going to Louisiana to help out in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. It was one of the most humbling and rewarding experiences of my life. Thanks for visiting Ginger Sling. So much has occurred since last I wrote. I of course feel for those who have bore such losses in the South due to Hurricane Katrina. My prayers go out to them. I found out about the tragedy while overseas. It seems unreal when you are not even in the same country when it is happening. I was glad to come home and be a part of the mourning process along with the rest of our country. On a happier note, it was very nice to be in the UK and to see so many of my friends. I can honestly say that I miss them all very much. The show that I played in London with Judita was great. Thanks to all of you who came out and shared such a great night with us. Hopefully I’ll be back again sooner than later.

I can’t believe it’s already July. I don’t know where the time went, but at least summer is here and I can’t complain about that. I’m lucky enough to live really close to the beach, so I am often down at Laguna Beach enjoying the nice weather. Speaking of Laguna Beach (nice tie in), many of you who are reading this watched the teaser episode for season 2 of MTV’s Laguna Beach last week. I have been receiving many emails from people who heard my song, “Out of My Head” on that episode. I am sorry that it hasn’t been available for purchase, but it is a newer song of mine and is not yet on an album. HOWEVER, I am making it available tomorrow on myspace for those of you who have been asking about it. Just click here. ALSO, I will have another one of my songs, “Are You Gonna” on the first official episode of “Laguna Beach” which will be airing tomorrow night. That song is available on my EP. You can hear that either on myspace or on cdbaby.com. In other news, I am getting ready to finally record more music for a full length. Also, don’t forget that “Sky High” comes out on July 29th.
